Plant Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for directing, planning, and leading operations in the areas of production and maintenance to ensure the required business objectives and strategies are met in a safe and environmentally compliant manner. This position reports to the President.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, analyze, and manage operating practices, record-keeping systems, budgetary requirements, and personnel requirements.
- Maintain workflow. Create and implement scheduling plans for execution of work orders for production.
- Make significant judgements based on experienced evaluation of work orders and time to delivery.
- Maintain inventory to meet current and near-future expedited work orders.
- Oversee cost control.
- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Commit to plant safety procedures.
- Develop systems and processes to track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- 10 to 15 years of manufacturing experience are required
- Demonstrated people management skills with prior supervisory experience of 5 + years
- Proven track record of leading and developing teams
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent management skills including planning, organizing, decision making, motivating, and leading with a high degree of interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with sensitive or confidential inform
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective problem-solving skills
